Thomas Hendrickson, the founder of Boise Table Company, has been immersed in woodworking from a young age. His journey began with logging and included stints at local cabinet shops, ultimately leading him to manage one of the largest cabinet shops in eastern Idaho by age 21. With a deep-rooted love for hardwoods and a keen business sense, Thomas launched his first venture, Hendrickson Hardwoods, in 2021, spurred on by his wife Neisha's encouragement.
Starting with exquisite cutting boards crafted from premium, locally sourced hardwoods, he targeted real estate agencies, offering these stunning pieces as memorable closing gifts. As their reputation for exceptional beauty and quality blossomed, it paved the way for even greater opportunities.

As the years progressed, Hendrickson Hardwoods received an increasing number of requests for larger and more intricate projects.
We ventured into crafting mantels, dressers, gun cabinets, entertainment centers, cabinets, and a diverse array of tables. During this evolution, we honed a unique system for working with various hardwoods, which not only enhanced the joinery but also improved the overall aesthetic and tactile experience of our furniture.
We set out to create pieces that would stand the test of time, becoming cherished heirlooms to pass down through generations. Yet, despite our commitment to durability and craftsmanship, something felt incomplete.
We recognized that while our approach to hardwoods was making our furniture appealing, we needed to evolve further. Thus, Hendrickson Hardwoods embarked on a transformative journey to build something extraordinary!

Bringing Functionality To Luxury
Throughout the years, our collaboration with numerous interior designers revealed a consistent set of problems in the fine furniture industry. Many pieces were sealed with a thick lacquer, preventing a true appreciation of the wood grain, while others, though initially breathtaking, showed signs of wear and dents after only a few months of use, detracting from their original allure.
Additionally, we found that many designer furniture items were made from inferior hardwoods, such as rubberwood, merely stained to imitate real hardwood. This was simply unacceptable to us. Thus, we returned to the drawing board, leveraging our past experience and knowledge.
We redefined our approach by perfecting our joinery techniques, committing to locally sourced genuine hardwoods, and meticulously researching the finest finishes to ensure our pieces maintained lasting beauty and unmatched durability.
And so, Boise Table Company was born!
